New RCS(Ed) appointment announced

The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh has announced that Mr Peter Durning has been appointed as the new Convener of Dental Examinations for the Faculty of Dental Surgery.

Mr Durning qualified from the Victoria University of Manchester in 1980 and after a period of general professional and specialist training he was appointed a consultant orthodontist in 1989.

He is currently employed as a consultant orthodontist and honorary senior lecturer at Cardiff University Dental Hospital where he has also been the Clinical Director since 2000. He succeeds Professor E. S. Davenport who has since become elected to the GDC.
