Professor Adrian Randall, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Academic Quality and Students at Birmingham University, visited the School of Dentistry to open the newly refurbished Clinical Skills Laboratory recently.
He was taken on a tour of the facilities including intra-oral cameras, operating microscopes with video output and visualisers and award winning Ecourse e-learning.
Philip Tomson demonstrated how the units worked and Professor Randall also met with students who are using the state-of-the-art facilities. Their feedback has been excellent.
Professor Philip Lumley thanked all the people that were involved in the project and congratulated the School of Dentistry for its innovation and ability to deliver a high quality education in dentistry. Both Professor Lumley and Randall praised the co-operation between the University and South Birmingham Community Trust that made this venture possible.
