Product indication:
Periodontitis. In-office use for patients with chronic periodontitis.
Product benefits:
Clinically proven to be effective as an adjunct to conventional periodontal treatment: the combination therapy of scaling and root planing (SRP) was shown to be superior to the conventional treatment of SRP alone, and these differences were maintained for nine months.2
Mode of action:
Colgate Elyzol dental gel is easily delivered into the gingival pocket. The composition of Elyzol dental gel is characterised by a melting point below body temperature, allowing it to flow freely when applied into the pocket — thus assuring a good distribution.
Active ingredient(s):
Metronidazole benzoate, corresponding to 250mg metronidazole.
Recommended dosage and usage:
to be administered into the periodontal pocket twice, with a one week interval.
