Colgate has joined forces with social enterprise Change Please Coffee, to help make essential dental services available to people facing homelessness.

In the UK at least 320,000 people are currently estimated to live in temporary accommodation or on the streets. Dental problems are among the most common health concerns affecting people experiencing homelessness.

A study in London involving 260 homeless people revealed that 60% ofthe participants had suffered from toothache since they became homeless while 15% had pulled their own teeth out.

Change Please Bus

The partnership with Colgate and Driving for Change will be an essential Oral Health service for rough sleepers, homeless and the vulnerable and will be able to signpost them to the dental care they need and deserve. No one should be left in dental pain whatever their living situation.
